Nurina was born at Ernabella Mission and grew up there. She then married and moved with her husband to Tjala Community where she remained, along with several of her children and their children. Nurina has painted with Tjala Arts and Ernabella Arts, and has recently started working at the APY Studio in Adelaide.
Nurina paints her Country, her father's mother's secret and sacred site where Ngapari, sweet lerps can be found in summer on eucalypt leaves. Nurina describes this as 'Sweet Dreaming' something like Honey.
She has been a director of Tjala, a member of Amata Council and works with NPY Women's Council.
