Umoona Arts
Joanne O'Toole is painting the kapi tjukula (rockholes) around her Country in Umoona. For Anangu, these rock holes are an important source of water during the dry season, when most waterholes and creeks dry up. Knowledge of rock hole sites is passed on from generation to generation and revered by all Yankunytjatjara people.
Joanne O'Toole is an emerging Yankunytjatjara artist working at Umoona Art Centre in Coober Pedy and is the current UCAC Chairperson.
