"Painting makes me think of going outbush in Blackstone. We had no cars no shops - ate bushfoods - goanna, kampurarpa rabbit, honey ants. My paintings make me think back to when I lived in the bush with my family. They are like a memory and a map of the country, my grandfathers country Witapi Wara."
Originally from Blackstone in Western Australia, Delma now lives at Watinuma Community, twenty five kilometres from Fregon on the APY Lands.. She is married and has a daughter and a young son. She paints at the Kaltjiti Art Centre and is a Chairperson and a valued arts-worker contributig to the management of the centre. Delma's father is the well know artist Untjima Fred Forbes from Blackstone.
